Dear Friends, Family and Neighbours,

We would like to extend an invitation to you & your family to celebrate our inaugural tree planting at the North Byron Shire Parklands.

We welcome the opportunity to introduce ourselves and this unique property and, invite you to join us in breathing life into our dreams for the site. We are committed to creating a sustainable cultural events site that we can all be proud of and we would like your hands to helps us ground this vision.

Our friend Bill Hauritz, the founder of the Woodford Folk Festival, will be sharing the story of his journey to find a home for his much loved festival and will be planting the first tree as a way of passing on the festival ‘flame’. Mat Morris will highlight a host of exciting cultural, ecological and economic initiatives proposed for the NBSP. Brandon Saul, Jessica Ducrou & Paul Piticco are looking forward to hearing your ideas. Sara Tindley and a host of other local talent will inspire and entertain and Rob Doolan will be offering a guided tour of the site for all those interested in seeing it for themselves.

We will be planting one thousand locally sourced trees, to begin the revegetation of the wildlife corridor that links the Billinudgel Nature Reserve with hinterland rainforests and will celebrate this ‘first step’ with good food, friends and music. We hope to see you there

11am, Saturday 16th June at the North Byron Shire Parklands
