Environmental Forum  - Wildlife Corridor

The North Byron Shire Parklands (NBSP) will be hosting an environmental forum for interested people, environmental groups and government agencies who wish to participate in the development of plans to repair the existing fragmented wildlife corridor between the Billinudgel Nature Reserve and forested lands extending to Mt Warning.
The purpose of the forum is to:

• Inspect the section of corridor on the  NBSP site to gain a better understanding of its current condition, including  the existing Tweed Valley Way fauna underpasses and the Pacific Highway fauna  overpass;
• Discuss the current ecological  assessments and preliminary vegetation management plan for the NBSP  
• Identify opportunities to work with  adjoining landowners and government agencies to improve the viability of the  corridor

The forum is being held at the NBSP on Saturday 22nd of September Registration for this forum is essential.

The NBSP would like to inform interested members of the community about a General Forum, to discuss the proposed NBSP site, to be held at the Council Chambers in Mullumbimby, on Monday 4th June at 5.30pm..

We are committed to community consultation and welcome the opportunity to discuss our intentions for the property, both social and environmental.

Our intention for the Forum is to update the community on the latest plans for the NBSP site, including an outline of our sustainability strategy and to receive community input and ideas.
